Brother Ghislain began night shift at Mâcon Hospital where he was a junior doctor in making collages during the the late 1960s. More recently, after a stay in Cuba, he started working with oil pastels. His work is a kind of diary, a book of hours where he gathers moments and glimpses of his life in Taizé and of visits and meetings across Asia and the Pacific. He uses many different elements, sometimes insignificant ones, pieces of paper and cardboard often about to be thrown away.
This colour booklet gathers a selection of 16 collages and pastels
