Purchase Orders

Any order implies acceptance, without limitation or qualification, of these terms and conditions.

The buyer must select each product for purchase by clicking on the button “Add to Cart”. By this operation the selected product is added to the shopping cart. The buyer can then:
- have an overview of the products that he/she has selected by clicking on “My Cart” at the top right of the screen;
- continue product selection by clicking "Continue Shopping";
- change the quantities ordered on the summary of selected products by clicking on “My Cart”, then changing the quantity and clicking "Update Shopping Cart";
- remove selected products by clicking on “My Cart”, clicking the “X” button in the right-hand column for each product to be removed;
- finalise the selection of products and order them by clicking on the “Checkout” button.

To confirm the order, the buyer must either be a “guest” (in which case his/her contact details will need to be entered again for subsequent orders) or register for an account giving, in addition to information needed for the order, an email address as username and a password. These are personal and confidential and can be used for subsequent logins.

The buyer is informed and agrees that the entry of this information is proof of his identity.

Before confirming the order, the buyer should check:
- the order details
- the payment method
- the means of delivery
- the total price
and correct any errors. It will not be possible to request changes to the order after this step.

The buyer must check that the delivery address given is complete and correct. He/she alone is responsible for any data entry errors and the resulting consequences.

If the product ordered is unavailable, the buyer will be informed as soon as possible, and will be able to change or cancel the order.

Orders are validated only after receipt of payment.

Price and payment

Prices displayed next to articles are in euros and do not include packing and delivery costs. For orders to be delivered in the countries of the European Union, prices include all taxes. For orders shipped to countries outside the European Union, the buyer is the importer of the products concerned. Custom duties or other local taxes or import duties may be payable: such duties and taxes are payable by the buyer and are his/her responsibility both in terms of declaring the import as well as the payments to the relevant authorities or agencies.

An amount to cover shipping costs is added when the order is made. This includes the cost of preparing the order, packaging it and transport. It is calculated according to the items ordered and the destination country. It is shown to the buyer before he/she confirms the order.

Payment must be made when the buyer places the order.

All orders are payable in euros.

To pay for the order, the buyer can use any of the means specified: credit card, bank transfer (contact us for the account code), cheque payable in France (i.e. in Euros) made out to "Ateliers et Presses de Taizé").

When paying by credit card over the internet, the buyer is transferred to the bank's payment site to render the transaction secure and ensure confidentiality. Les Ateliers et Presses de Taizé does not have access to the buyer's account details, only the bank does.

The buyer warrants that he/she has the necessary authorisation to use the chosen payment method.

In the context of combating internet fraud, information about your order may be transmitted to a third party for verification.

The buyer benefits from the legal “guarantee  of compliance” under the conditions of L. 211-4 and the following articles of the French “Code de la consommation” and from the “guarantee against hidden defects” under the conditions of 1641 and the following articles of the French “Code civil”.

For the legal “guarantee  of compliance”:

The buyer disposes of a period of two years from the date of delivery in order to take action.

The buyer may choose between repair and replacement of the item, subject to the conditions concerning costs stipulated at article L.211-9 of the “Code de la consummation”.

The buyer is dispensed from having to prove the existence of the failure of compliance during the six months following the delivery of the item. (This period of six months to be extended to twenty-four months from 18th March 2016.)

The legal “guarantee  of compliance” applies independently of any commercial guarantee.

For the “guarantee  against hidden defects”:

If the buyer decides to invoke this guarantee, he or she can choose between cancellation of the sale and a reduction of the price.

Shipping

The products will be delivered to the address which the buyer has indicated on the order form, usually by post. Goods will be shipped within a maximum of seven working days from the receipt of payment, except in the period between 15 December and 10 January, when the delay may extend up to 15 days. The time taken by the postal services, which will vary according to the destination country, needs to be added before delivery takes place.

No replacements can be made in case of loss or damage.

Complaints concerning delivery errors must be communicated to the Ateliers et Presses de Taizé within the two next working days following the date of receipt of the package(s). This claim may be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or through this page.

Pursuant to Article L121-20-12 of the Consumer Code (code de la consommation), the buyer has a fourteen (14) day period from the receipt of the order during which he/she may return the products. The product(s) must be returned in perfect condition in their original packaging.

The cost and risks associated with returning the product(s) are the responsibility of the buyer.
